EVENTS DELEGATE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are between Sifted EU Ltd ("Sifted") and the person who completes the relevant booking form ("You") for the Sifted event described in the booking or registration form (the "Event").
1. Confirmation of bookings
1.1 All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by Sifted, which will be confirmed in writing (including by email) after Sifted has received the completed booking form, the related fee if required (the "Fee"), and anything else Sifted may require.
1.2 On Sifted's written confirmation of its acceptance of your booking, there is a legally binding contract between Sifted and You to which these terms apply.
1.3 Sifted reserves the right to refuse any booking in its absolute discretion.
2. Fees
2.1 Fees for the Event are correct at the time of publication. Sifted may change the Fees at any time, but a change will not affect a registration Sifted has already confirmed. Fees (where payable) are due at the same time as You submit your booking form, by credit or debit card. Sifted cannot guarantee places held on a provisional basis, and places may sell out.
2.2 The Fees include:
(a) for in-person delegates: one place at the Event. Where an Event's booking page states that refreshments and/or Event materials are included, these will also be provided;
(b) for digital/online delegates: access for one person to the digital Event.
2.3 The Fees do not include travel to or from the Event, or accommodation.
2.4 Delegates from all countries must pay VAT at the applicable rate on Events taking place in the United Kingdom. For Events elsewhere, delegates must pay any VAT, excise duty or other sales tax that applies.
3. Changes, Cancellations and Postponements
3.1 Programme changes. Our programmes are correct at the time of publication, but Sifted may need to alter the content, format, venue or timing of an Event. Speakers and topics are confirmed throughout the year and may be substituted or withdrawn for reasons beyond Sifted's control. Sifted reserves the right to change or modify advertised content, and will publish any substitution or adjustment via official Sifted Event channels as soon as reasonably possible.
3.2 If You can't attend. If You cannot attend an Event You've registered for, tell Sifted as soon as possible at events@sifted.eu.
3.3 Transfers. You may transfer your ticket to a different individual, free of charge, at any point up to 7 days before the Event, by giving Sifted the new attendee's details at events@sifted.eu. Within 7 days of the Event, transfers are at Sifted's discretion.
3.4 Cancellations. Ticket Fees are non-refundable. If You cancel your booking and do not transfer the ticket under clause 3.3, Sifted will, on request, issue a credit note for the full value of the Fee paid. The credit note has no cash value, may be redeemed by You or by another individual from your organisation, and is valid only against a booking for the next edition of the same Event. It expires, unused, if not redeemed against that booking.
3.5 Sifted-initiated cancellation or postponement. In exceptional circumstances Sifted may need to postpone or cancel an Event. Sifted will notify You as soon as reasonably practicable. If the Event is cancelled, or postponed and You cannot attend the rearranged date, Sifted will refund any Fees You've paid within 8 weeks. Sifted's liability to You is limited to the Fees You've paid, and Sifted is not liable for any expenditure, damage or loss You incur as a result of the cancellation or postponement.
3.6 Sanctions. Sifted may cancel your attendance and retain any Fees paid if You (or a shareholder or director of the entity You represent) become subject to any Sanction, or if continuing would, in Sifted's reasonable opinion, expose Sifted or an affiliate to any Sanction. "Sanction" means a sanction, prohibition or restriction under UN resolutions or under the trade or economic sanctions, laws or regulations of the EU, UK or USA.
4. Your attendance at the Event
4.1 Tell Sifted about any special access requirements when You make your booking.
4.2 Tickets are issued to a named attendee. You may transfer a ticket to a different individual under clause 3.3. Outside that window, the ticket is valid only for the named attendee, and entry will only be given to the individual registered, unless Sifted agrees to a substitute at its discretion.
4.3 Sifted may, without liability, refuse You admission to or eject You from the Event for failing to comply with these terms, or if in Sifted's opinion You are a security risk or a nuisance to the running of the Event.
4.4 You may make reasonable video or audio recordings and photographs at the Event for your own personal use. You must not record the whole, or substantially the whole, of the Event or any session, or use recordings or photographs commercially, unless Sifted expressly permits it.
4.5 The Event may be filmed or photographed, including images of individual or groups of delegates. You permit Sifted, and any third party Sifted licenses, to use and distribute this footage and these photographs, which may feature You, in any media (including social media), in perpetuity, worldwide, for advertising, publicity and reporting purposes. Tell the photographer if You don't want to be included in an individual or group photograph.
4.6 You're responsible for your own insurance in connection with your attendance. To the maximum extent the law allows, Sifted is not liable for loss or damage to You or your property, unless caused by Sifted's negligence.
4.7 Materials distributed by or for Sifted at an Event may not be reproduced without Sifted's permission.
5. Sifted's Liability
5.1 Views expressed by speakers are their own. Sifted disclaims liability for advice or views given at an Event. Materials distributed at an Event are for information only and shouldn't be relied on.
5.2 To the maximum extent the law allows, Sifted is not liable to You for any direct, indirect, economic or consequential loss, or loss of business, use, profit, anticipated profit, contracts, revenue, goodwill or anticipated savings arising in connection with this agreement, even if Sifted has been told such loss was possible.
6. Your details
6.1 By submitting your registration, You allow Sifted to contact You as needed to organise and run the Event. Sifted handles your registration details in line with its Privacy Policy.
6.2 Sifted uses third-party providers to help deliver the Event, including for registration (currently Swoogo), the Event app and delegate networking (currently Brella), and onsite check-in and badge printing (currently Fredo). Your registration and attendance data is shared with these providers as needed to deliver the Event to You. For what's shared and your rights over your data, see Sifted's Privacy Policy at sifted.eu.
6.3 The names, job titles and organisations of registered delegates are placed on the Event's delegate list. This is shared with sponsoring companies and, for some Events, with all delegates via an online attendee directory, so delegates can see who's attending for networking purposes. Email events@sifted.eu at the time of booking if You don't want to be included. Delegates on the attendee directory agree not to use the delegate list for their own promotional or marketing purposes, under any circumstances.
6.4 If You register for a roundtable or workshop, your name, job title, organisation and contact details will, where applicable, be shared with that roundtable or workshop's sponsor or host, so they can follow up with You about your participation. Email events@sifted.eu at the time of confirming your place if You don't want to be included.
6.5 By allowing your badge to be scanned at the Event (for example, at a sponsor's stand), You consent to sharing your registration details with that sponsor or exhibitor. Contact events@sifted.eu with any questions, or if your badge was scanned without your consent.
6.6 Sifted will only contact You for marketing purposes, and will only pass your details to sponsors for marketing purposes, where You've expressly consented — for example, by opting in during registration.
6.7 Sifted EU Ltd. Registered Office: 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU. Registered No: 1108313, England. Sifted's Privacy Policy is available at sifted.eu.
7. Other
7.1 These terms are the entire agreement between You and Sifted.
7.2 If a court finds any provision of these terms invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision is severed and the rest remain in full force.
7.3 A waiver of any obligation under these terms doesn't prevent Sifted enforcing it later.
7.4 A person who isn't party to these terms has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term.
7.5 These terms are governed by English law, and You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. This doesn't limit Sifted's right to bring proceedings against You in any other competent court.
7.6 Questions about these terms: events@sifted.eu.
7.7 These terms were last updated on 28 September 2026 and apply to all bookings made from that date, until superseded by a new version.
