Introducing the Sifted Startup Life newsletter

We’re launching a new weekly newsletter, on Wednesdays, focused on Europe’s startup operators.

Funding rounds might get a whole lot of attention in the startup ecosystem — but raising investment is just a smidgen of what founders and operators have to master.

There’s also the pesky issue of management, developing products, landing sales, nailing marketing, setting up paternity policies and onboarding new employees and figuring out what software to use…

It’s a lot. And we don’t think there’s a great newsletter in Europe focused on it — yet.

So we’re launching one, this week. Every Wednesday, Sifted’s deputy editor Amy Lewin and Anisah Osman Britton, founder of 23 Code Street and CTO at Vinokilo, will dive into the inside workings of Europe’s startups, explore the latest workplace trends and share helpful resources.

You can expect:

  • Q&As with seriously smart startup operators
  • Juicy news on who’s hiring, who’s firing and who’s got a top new job
  • Actually useful reads on everything from running 1-1s to marketing on social media
  • Insightful, personal and controversial opinion pieces
  • A chance to choose what topics we cover each week

Our readers are developers and diversity advocates, angel investors and managers, and come from organisations like Buffer, Tier, Alan, PayFit, Unmind, Founders Factory, Atomico and Northzone.

Our founding partner for the Startup Life newsletter is Google for Startups; its kind support is helping us get this off the ground.

“One of the biggest challenges for founders is to learn, grow and develop as fast as their companies do. To address that challenge, the Startup Life newsletter will be an essential read for anyone hungry for industry news, actionable tips from tech, product, leadership and growth experts, and opinion pieces on the current events in the ecosystem.” — Marta Krupinska, head of Google for Startups UK
