AI notetaking startup Granola has raised $125m in Series C funding in a round led by Index Ventures.

The new funding gives the London-based startup a valuation of $1.5bn, making it the latest UK company to hit a unicorn valuation.

Granola, which was founded in 2023, sells a platform that transcribes meetings for users and uses AI to turn them into complete and queryable summaries. It counts the likes of Cursor and Gousto among its customers.

Alongside the funding, Granola is also launching new features including integrations with AI coding tools like Anthropic PBC’s Claude Code, as well as team workspaces where employees can pool their notes, according to Bloomberg.

Kleiner Perkins also invested, alongside Lightspeed Venture Partners and Spark Capital.

The company last raised a $43m Series B in May 2025 led by Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross from NFDG at a valuation of $250m.

In May, it told Sifted it was aiming to grow its team of 19 to around 80 in the next 12 months.

It was also one of the fastest-growing startup teams in Europe last year.
