Europe's most active investors in 2024: angels

Behind every breakout startup is an early believer — an angel willing to take a chance before the rest of the market catches on. These individuals don’t just provide capital; they share hard-won experience and help founders navigate the chaos of early-stage growth. Some have been backing startups for years, while others are newer names making an impact with a flurry of deals.

Sifted tracked all publicly announced deals in 2024 and contacted investors to verify their deal count. Some angels may have unannounced or private investments, which are not reflected in our data. Deal count considers equity investments in European tech companies launched post-2005. Fund focus denotes investor activity in 2024 at the following stages: “Early” for deals from pre-seed up to Series A, “Growth” for Series B and C and “Late” for investments from Series D onwards.
