UK fintech giant Revolut will soon launch an AI financial assistant, following hot on the heels of several other new products including mobile phone plans and personalised financial services for the rich.

The company is planning to “go live shortly” with the AI financial assistant, UK CEO Francesca Carlesi told Bloomberg, amid a drive to use more AI tools to help customers with their finances.

The move follows fellow UK neobank Starling’s launch last week of an AI banking tool to allow customers to ask questions about their spending.

Revolut’s AI financial assistant was outlined in a product map at the tail end of last year, but details are scant on what it will actually offer customers beyond guiding them towards smarter money habits and decision-making.

Revolut, Europe’s most valuable private tech company, has announced plans for a flurry of new products this year, including banking services for the rich, a rewards credit card and mobile plans in the UK and Germany. It has 50m customers, and announced pre-tax profits of £1.1bn in 2024.
