Swedish EV software company Einride has raised around $100m in fresh funding as it looks to accelerate the rollout of its electric and autonomous trucking solutions.

Founded in 2016, Einride has built a freight ecosystem combining heavy-duty electric trucks, autonomous vehicle technology and its in-house logistics platform Saga, which helps operators optimise routes and capacity.

Einride’s latest funding round includes existing backer EQT Ventures — among the company’s largest shareholders — and quantum computing company IonQ, alongside other undisclosed investors.

The Stockholm-based startup had previously raised more than $650m in equity and debt since launching in 2016, but struggled to turn a profit and has faced large losses in recent years.

Einride doubled net sales in 2024, while expanding into Austria and the UAE. The new funding will go towards scaling deployments with customers, pushing forward autonomy R&D and broadening its international footprint.

“Nordic tech is often underestimated until it quietly rewires an industry,” said EQT Ventures partner Ted Persson. “That’s exactly what Einride is doing in freight.”

CEO Roozbeh Charli called the raise “a strong signal of confidence” in the team and technology, adding that the company is now poised for its next phase of growth.

Sifted previously revealed how Einride had started offering design services to business customers in a move to cut losses.
