Sending cargo to space in a reusable capsule; transforming neurosurgery with microrobots; capturing CO2 and turning it into greener building materials; tackling decades of underinvestment into female health… women in Europe’s tech sector are working on remarkable products and services.
And yet, despite all that, women in tech are so rarely in the spotlight.
Female-founded companies still receive just 12% of venture funding; women-only teams capture no more than 2% of funds raised; women represent between 5% to 15% of angel and VC investors, depending on geography; female voices are seldom heard on tech podcasts; and all-male panels are an all-too common sight at tech conferences.
Sifted, Sistafund and Station F want to shine a light on the brightest and boldest women in tech in the inaugural list of 100 Women in Tech in Europe.
We have an all-star ‘nomination committee’ at work scouting out the most impressive women in tech in their regions — but we need your help too!
We’re looking for up-and-coming women across the European tech community — from founders to investors, operators to ecosystem builders including policymakers, journalists and corporate leaders — who are making a real impact and deserve to be celebrated.
If there’s someone you believe absolutely has to be on our list, please nominate them here.
We’ll announce the final 100 at the Sifted Summit in London, October 8-9 — and on sifted.eu.
