Trinny Woodall, Hiroki Takeuchi, Tom Blomfield all under one roof: The Sifted Summit lineup is here

We’ve cracked our Rolodex open, and tapped over 100 disruptive founders, investors and execs from Europe’s top startups

By Sifted

Sifted Summit — our two-day in-person startup extravaganza — is right around the corner.

In London on October 5-6, we’ll be bringing together some of Europe’s most exciting startup leaders to share their stories and best advice for growing a business. We’ll also have podcast recordings, an expo floor, in-person networking opportunities and — in case all that wasn’t enough — the full flock of Sifted journalists and analysts under one roof.

So who are the disruptors you’ll be hearing from? You can find the agenda and the full speakers list here — and read on for just some of the panels we’re most looking forward to.

Trinny Woodall, founder and CEO of her eponymous startup Trinny London, will be talking about how to thrive and survive in a crowded market.

  • If crisis strikes, how can you survive against the odds? Roxanne Varza, director of Station F, Suranga Chandratillake, partner at Balderton, and Tayga Baltacioglu, cofounder and CEO of Debite, will be discussing one of the biggest topics on founders’ minds today.
  • Creator Ventures cofounders Caspar Lee and Sasha Kaletsky will be speaking about navigating the hype of the creator economy. How can founders get celebs on their cap table? And how should creators approach investing — without succumbing to the hype?
  • Steve O’Hear, VP of strategy of Zapp, will be speaking with Tom Blomfield, visiting group partner of Y Combinator, about all things angel investing — as well as the stupidest trends they’re seeing in early-stage startups right now.

  • Sifted fintech reporter Amy O’Brien will interview Matthias Knecht, Billie cofounder and managing director, and Tim Chong, Yonder cofounder and CEO, on the future of buy now, pay later (BNPL). As ethics and regulation loom, what’s next? Will BNPL fare better under a recession?
  • Tugce Ergul, general partner of Hypernova, and Khaled Helioui, cofounder of Plural, will be sharing their oodles of experience on the new era of founders-turned-investors and how they’re shaking up Europe’s angel investing scene.
  • Hiroki Takeuchi, cofounder and CEO of GoCardless, and Jaidev Janardana, CEO of Zopa, will discuss how mergers and acquisitions are taking over fintech.
  • Emma Nehrenheim, chief environmental officer of Northvolt, Tessa Clarke, cofounder and CEO of OLIO, Elizabeth Nyeko, CEO of Modularity Grid and Michelle You, cofounder and CEO of Supercritical will be talking about how to build a world-class climate tech company from the ground up.
  • Anna Butterworth, CEO of Vibease, and Farah Kabir, cofounder and CEO of HANX, will be talking about the rise of the $35bn sextech industry in Europe — and where there’s still room to grow.
